First, this is a fine-looking shoe in the classic sense of North American traditional loafer. I ordered them in my size, but in a "wide" which is perfect in width, but for whatever reason, has made them too long to wear. Rather than return them, I took them to an old-fashioned cobbler who put an insert ...not in the heel, but under the liner of the toe. I can wear them comfortably now, but someone should re-examine the sizing in the 9.5/ M width.
So beautiful. The burgundy and black rub off is so gorgeous. I normally wear a 12 in sneakers. I ordered an 11 in these and I have some pretty substantial heel slippage. I returned them and will be ordering a 10.5. Can't wait to get them. I just love the finish and they felt super comfy.
I have purchased multiple Cole Haan size 8 shoes. Ordered this Men's American Classics Penny Loafer online and the shoe is at least 1/2 size too large. I should have gone to the store to make sure they fit right? Wouldn't have thought that necessary. Having worn them a couple of times, now I'm stuck with them. Looking good, but swimming feet.
This is a great classic loafer that can be dressy or casual. I have had alot of compliments on them.

Great looking shoe and great cushioning. Just the collar was too tight and digging into the side of my foot. Found a different brand that felt more comfortable
Based on the description and what I’m used to buying Cole Haan products, I expect the shoes to me made from genuine leather. They’re not. The uppers are made of some kind of patent leather-like plastic . They’re going back.
I am typically an 8.5 in Cole Haan shoes - they've been consistent for almost every shoe, except these. I purchased an 8.5 and wore them with great frustration. I like the shoe, but it is NOT comfortable. So I indulged and bought an 8 thinking that would work better. But still not right sized. So, I now have two pairs of the same shoe and no desire to wear either pair. Love Cole Haan, just not this shoe!
