Smartwool socks have always been a favorite. So glad LL Bean carries them now. They wear really well. I have several pairs I have had for years!

SmartWool socks last a very long time if you wash them in cold water and hang them to air dry. I have this crew sock in black, navy, brown, and gray. (Some of those colors are no longer available in this style of sock. ) i wear women's size 11 shoes and purchase size Large in SmartWool socks. This style is a thinner cable knit crew length that pairs well with loafers and ankle boots. The heel areas eventually wore out in my 2 pairs of black crew socks, so I'm relaxing them now. The price of this sock has increased since I last night them, but they should last a long time so it's a good investment.

Huge fan of Smartwool socks, but unfortunately these didn't win me over. The fabric felt a bit stiff, lacking the soft, broken-in feel I've come to expect from Smartwool knitwear. Not a bad product by any means; since they aren't too thick, they should be good for warmer days as well.

I wear these socks all winter and around the house in the summer. They are infinitely comfy and always the right temp. I hate having hot feet and these socks never make my feet hot just comfy.

I have this shock in navy, ivory, brown. They are favorites year round, but wool is quite fine and tend to develop heel holes. My shoes are now step ins , so maybe reason why.
