I'm in search of the shoes that make me say "wow, these are perfect" and these didn't do it. Nothing wrong with the shoes though and I hope they hold up for the money. I put in the arch supports, which feel very minimal anyway, and the additional padding. After a few days I found the shoes were starting to aggravate the balls of my feet where blisters have formed before from cheaper footwear. I added additional insoles from my previous shoes and that has mostly relieved the aggravation. My hope is that the shoes will break in further over time and be a serviceable pair until my next search the elusive perfects shoes.

I have a hard time finding a wide show that will fit just right! I have a bunion on left foot so I need a 6e wide. I can always count on finding a wide enough shoe with Zappo!

I bought these for my husband who has foot problems and requires a roomy toe box. He really likes the fit and comfort. These come with additional insole liners in 1/16" and 1/8" thick so you can customize the fit more precisely even if your feet are slightly different sized. He uses the optional plastic heel support too. This is his second pair of Orthofeet with a wide toe box, and I'm certain he'll continue to prefer this brand. Note: the black pair in the photo appear as charcoal with coral trim. They're actually deep black with true red trim.

I find it extremely difficult to find comfortable shoes due to extremely high arches, a big toe that likes to stand up, and a slow-healing ankle injury. In the past few months, I've ordered 7 pairs of Brooks and Orthofeet shoes from Zappos. This was the only pair that was comfortable. They felt pretty good right away but didn't provide enough ankle support. (They were so cushy my ankles wobbled when walking.) I found that if I first inserted the plastic Orthofoot arch supports that came with the shoes and then added my orthotic insoles, they were much more stable. I like them so much that I ordered a second pair.
