Moab 3 8" Tactical Zip Wp

The only boots I get for many years. There is not a doubt the quality is going down. The waterproofing barely last, The stitching around the toes will give within 6 months. Put it in perspective. They will not make it a few hundred miles worth of steps. Merrell that's kinda Opposite of what you become. The only reason three stars are given is because they are comfortable, some of most comfort found in a boot style. And yeah, pair like 15 knowing they're not lasting 6 months has gotten old, I now feel like I'm wasting money and searching for a new workbook. This might be the last pair purchased.

I love the feel of these boots, and honestly will probably buy another pair in hopes that this was a one-off issue but they just fell apart on me. The laces wound up getting shredded after about a year of casual wear and were barely strings by the time I replaced them. A few months after that, one of the lace eyelets simply popped off, leaving the left boot laces with an uneven threading between them. These boots offer fantastic ankle and foot support, but having less than a two year lifetime is kinda surprising and frankly disappointing.

Merrells fit, exactly as you expect, with just the right amount of room, have worn them one day kicking around and no break in period was needed, testing out the waterproof-ness this weekend outside in the rain.

Favorite pair of boots I've bought so far

Over a year and a half and had the tactical Moab 2 6in. Before that.plus the 2nd or third chameleons before that and the original chameleon before that. All except the 2nd pai of chameleon lasted 1.5 yrs about. I run through shoes working physically demanding jobs outside with no cover usually. Climbing, running lifting. On top of that I mountain bike, hime, run, BMX. Most of those yrs i could only afford one pair of shoes at this price too! I dont know many ppl who actually wear normal shoes out in 6 months or less. So i say all these bad reviews are unfounded and from prissy ppl who think you should be able to SWIM in these shoes and keep you feet dry and or that it only takes an hour of walking once a day for a week to break in quality boots or cant put on tall enough socks?

Way too much lining from the zipper, causes pain on my leg. Feel cheap, unlike the moab 2. I don't like the eyelets at all, they look and feel cheap. Even the boot strings are cheap as can be. These are $50.00 boots, not anywhere near what's being charged for them.
