When it comes to thin wool socks (think biking or trail running or existing in the desert), smartwool is the only brand I'll buy-all the other brands wear through the toes in no time

I love SW clothing and socks, but unfortunately, they've changed their materials and added more Lycra/polyester. I ordered several pairs of socks and they're definitely not the wool when they first started out. I'm done buying them they feel hard and itchy. I'm bummed out. I will buy more Darn Tough socks now since Smart Wool materials aren't like they used to be.

Smartwool socks are the best fit and most comfortable. Biking, running, walking- they stay in place and don't slip down my heels. Love 'em !

These are the similar successor to my old goodhew low cut socks I got long ago at Whole Earth. These are a little softer, a little thicker, but still very light on the feet. Better for warmth, probably. Very pleased. Don't know what they have to do with biking. They fit well. I am on the bubble size wise, 6.5 to 7, with bunions, but though I haven't washed them yet I think I made the right decision to go with small.
