I was never a loafer guy but my wife talked me into getting a pair of these. Wonderful shoe, fits well and super light. Was really impressed with the insoles.

I've been a customer for AE for close to 8 years. The quality over the years has plummeted to the point that this was my last purchase. The quality on these shoes are HORRIBLE! I've never had a show show wear and tear after the 3rd day I wore them. Buyer beware.

stitching poorly done denim colored suede not uniform

I'm actually pretty stunned these shoes are made by Allen Edmonds. I have a couple other pairs of shoes from AE and have never had issues. Great quality. But these things? These things have been horrendous. Despite being exactly the same size as another pair of loafers I own from AE, they're uncomfortable on my feet. At first I felt like maybe I just needed to give them time to be "broken in", but it's been a few months with no change. What's worse is that they've begun to fall apart in such a short span of time. The front and back of the shoe are totally worn out - and I've probably only worn these things 7-10 times. I swear they started to show signs of wear and tear after maybe one or two outings. I am attaching photos for reference. I really feel that I should be refunded for these shoes. They were not cheap but they sure feel cheap. Is Allen Edmonds starting to fall away from their commitment to quality?

Love feel and appearance of the shoes. The heal (where they transition from rubber to leather) is wearing quickly after only a few wears .

Sadly, I had to return these. I loved the way they looked and felt but the toe / front part of both shoes was very worn down after only wearing them one time. I have multiple other pairs of AE that I've had for years, a couple I've re-souled, but these missed the mark.

I have worn these probably 50+ times since purchasing. The are aesthetically please, very comfortable and sizing is spot on. The suede leather is certainly top shelf. I wear in business casual settings as well as with jeans when going out. The wear has not been too much of an issue. There are a few small areas, toe and heel, where the out-sole, which is dark brown, is a bit discolored and is a lighter shade of brown now. But nothing too noticeable. I have to really look to see it. Net is these are terrific loafers and I'd recommend.
