Lives Up to Its Name! Great boot for snow and very cold conditions. Warm. Nice fit and good traction. A little tight to get on and off, but worth it to avoid lacing and tying. Go with half size larger as recommended.

Love my new boots: Glad I went with the wide size. after a couple of wears, very comfortable. Wore the boots during a Buffalo Bills football game in a constant down pour. My feet were the only thing dry and warm.

Nice, but not for me. High quality and good looking boot, but because of severe back flexibility restrictions, they were too difficult to get on. Had to send them back.

snug fitting boot tops: They are very difficult to pull on because of the narrow opening of the top. With only one loop to pull them on, they are too difficult.

Comfortable but not warm... These are the first pair of LL Bean boots I've bought for myself. I live in the midwest and today there is significant snow on the ground. The first thing I've noticed, is that the boots are very comfortable but after shoveling snow for a while. I can tell these are not meant to keep your feet warm. I will have to wear thicker socks for that as they do not come with insulated inserts. Other than that, they seem to be well made.
