Arizona Rugged

Uncomfortable, painful. You could feel the bottom of the sole as you walked. I very seldom wear anything but Birks, work, pleasure, lol, I live in them! I thought the sole on these might last longer, um yeah because I won't be wearing them! They are the most uncomfortable Birks I've ever had. I broke them in for 2 weeks and they still hurt my feet. They look great but that's it. Just terrible!!!!!

I wear a women's size 10 and sometimes 9.5 In retrospect I would have ordered the size 40 rather than the 41. I had the buckles on the second to tightest buckle and they were still too big so now a year later, I have them on the tightest buckle. I hesitated to do that because they stretch but luckily I have a leather punch. I should add that I do not have narrow feet. I have a high instep and a width that is somewhat wider than a medium. I wore these with socks the other day and it was such a silly PNW thing to do. But the buckles tighter make all the difference. Good arch support. My arches usually don't touch the insole. It's a little weird to feel the arch construction in the shoe. ha. I really love the outer soles on these. Sturdy and flexible too.

The rugged Arizona is cut larger than my previous pair of Birks that had thinner straps and smaller buckles, particularly in the width, but they still fit okay. Oddly, even though they are cut bigger, I am in the 2nd to tightest hole for the buckle which seems a little loose, but the 1st hole is too tight. I think as they stretch and give, the tightest hole will feel better. I do find that the larger straps aren’t as comfortable across the top of my foot as the thinner straps. Hoping they get better as they are more broken in. I do like the heavier rubber soles because I do a lot of walking with 2 dogs and hope they will hold up better than my last pair with the standard rubber sole (only lasted 2 years) for the price.

I love these flatter Birkenstocks. I love the footbed and the different sole. I wish the straps were narrower like another pair I found, but they are very comfortable - very comfortable.

I really like the unusual rugged sole, great for light summer hiking. Straps are a bit stiff and are chaffing my toes.

A little disappointed with this style. I really like the look of them from the side profile, but they look really masculine on my feet overall when looking down on them.

Within 5 minutes of wearing these at home on carpet and tile, my ankle and calf on right leg started cramping. I am thankful for the easy return process. I wanted to love these.

Love these Birks! They always look good.

they hurt my feet after a while from wearing them.

Much too wide. I wish they come in a narrow, like many of the womens birkenstocks.
