I bought these sturdy walking shoes in an 81/2 narrow to handle a variety of terrain for an upcoming trip to Europe. They do suport my ankle, which is usually an issue for my narrow foot, but the arch support I would expect from a walking shoe isn't there. I already paid $244. so it irks me to have to invest more for an additional insole. I will ask Zappo's customer service what to do.
These are great sneakers if you have extra-wide feet. On the expensive side, but they fit really well, are comfortable, and are a little stylish to boot. Heads-up: if you wash them in the washing machine, they may develop a squeak as you walk (ask me how I know!). The squeak persisted for months, so I ended up buying a new pair. Lesson learned!
I love the look of these shoes! I have been looking for shoes of this style with arch support or that fit my custom orthotics. So sad, these shoes don't have arch support! I am really shocked that a very pricey shoe from SAS has no arch support! The heel cup isn't deep enough for my orthotics, so they are going back. Sooooo sad.
These are the cutest sneaks and I love the color, however I did not keep them. They were comfortable except for the toe box. They have more of an almond shaped toe box that I’m not fond of and I have a very narrow foot. I even tried these on with a thin no show sock and they were still snug leaving you little room to wiggle your toes. Going up another half size would have been too long. Bummer! I really wanted these to work.
These sneakers, and very comfortable, well made, and they look great. I wanted to bring one pair of sneakers on a 2-week-long trip and these were it- wore them during plane and train travel, walking around town, hiking up and down hills, and to the gym. My feet are wide (I got the 7W) and these were comfortable right out of the box. The soles and leather trim are sturdy and resistant to scuffing.
I am wearing these daily. I like that they are all leather and come in a narrow width as unisex shoes are typically too wide for me as a women's size 10B. Love the sturdy sole and feels like it is about 1/2 drop. They get 5 stars but I wish the tongue was longer and had lace slits to keep it from sliding down. I found the insole to be uncomfortable and swapped in my own, and the heels are a bit wide. Still, I will by it again in black leather for the winter.
The sneaker is beautiful, loved the style. Ordered it in 6.5B which is my normal size. The shoe looks well made, rivals some of the high end designer sneakers. The size fit in length and width, so I believe it ran true to size. The problem were the heels. They slipped when I walked. Even if I tied them tighter they slipped. So for long walks they were not the best choice. I have several pairs of the Tour Mesh II in 6.5B and they fit perfectly. But are not so stylish - they have an old lady look, unfortunately they are quite comfortable and helped resolve the plantar fasciitis I developed with my high arches. I thought the 7eventy6x-X would fit the same. They do not. They are built on a different shoe model and do not cup and hold the heel the same as the Tour Mesh II. However they are very stylish. But I need a good looking sneaker that I can walk in without fear of herl slippage and the blisters that come with. So I am returning them.
I ordered this and my usual size and it was too big. I ordered it a size down and it really worked and I could see why people liked it. It is expensive, but I am actually keeping them because they are very cushy.
Love the shoe and it is so comfortable! The Doris a little large and was slipping on my heel. I have ordered 1/2 size smaller.
I have weak ankles and these help tremendously! I love all SAS sneakers, but recently my ankles have been bothering me so I switched to these.
