Fresh Foam X 840v1 Leather

The 9.5EE in white/purple is definitely shorter and tighter than my previous NB 840s (840v5 and 840G4) in the same size. The shape feels the same, though, so I'll order a size up and try again.

Much, much narrower toe area than a "normal" New Balance EE. When I tried them on, I didn't even walk down the hall - just took them right back off immediately and checked whether regular-width shoes had been sent in the x-wide box. No such luck: they're just that badly sized.

I wear a size 10EE. I only buy New Balance shoes built on the SL-2 last, and I have purchased 5 different versions of the 840. I really like the mesh versions but I wanted a pair that would provide a little protection in wet environments. These were uncomfortable on the tops of my toes. They fit as well as the other versions, but by the end of the day, I feel pressure on my toes, particularly if I'm having issues with ingrown toenails. I've had them for a year and have only worn them about 15 times. I thought if I wore them more, they might soften a little on top, but I really don't enjoy wearing them.

Nice shoe except for the HUGE sole that makes it really clunky. I felt like Herman Munster when I tried them on.

These shoes are great for people who walk on concrete! They cushion my feet all day! I’ve been trying to find another pair and I think they stopped making them.

the item is not true to size

they lift the foot outwards and was changing the way my foot lies making my foot turn toward the right side and caused pain. I had to stop using them and took a month but my feet are back to normal.

I wear a size 9.5. This shoe runs short. My foot was right at the end of toe box.

The shoe did not fit because I ordered a women’s shoe for a man. The shoe is too small.

I love these sturdy, supportive shoes!
