I have a pair of slip-on Bean's storm chaser shoes. As they are insulated, they are too warm for warmer periods. However, the Beans slip-ons are too lose for my purposes but these with some lacing, fit smugly around my foot making them great for trails in wet weather.

Great shoes for damp environment, such as wet grass. I really like my gum shoes. The sizes run crazy big, so either plan on wearing very thick or multiple layers of socks. Alternatively, selecting two full sizes smaller than your regular size might work. Be sure to select the wide option if applicable.

This is my third pair of these absolute NECESSARY gumboots. Yes, I wore out the other two pairs. That happens over time. They get slippery over wet grass, time to replace 'em. When you're cutting grass you can't be slipping all over the place. That's dangerous! I put these on when I leave the house to feed the birds, three times a day. They're what Schindler would call "essential." You got a yard, you need Bean gumboots.
