I wear a 10 womens and have another pair of Birenstocks size 41 that fit perfect. These seemed short, and the quality was awful: the suede was inconsistent over each shoe, the glue over the cork beds wasn't uniform, and the edges around the top of the footbed were uneven. It seemed like they were assembled quickly and haphazardly....poor quality control going on there. Going to try finding the same pair from another source.
This is my second pair of Birks - Ive only worn these once so they have a little breaking in left to do. The Stone Coin color is fabulous ~ a true griege neutral. And the light grey sole instead of black is really on point. Totally makes a difference in the look and wearability from a style standpoint. I have a wide forefoot, high arch, and narrow heel, and would like these to be just a bit wider across the ball of the foot. The Arizona soft footbed is the only Birkenstock style I can wear with comfort, other footbeds are just too hard and narrow. Birk, please make more styles with the Arizona soft footbed, and consider easing into a smidge wider footbed on the regular width for the wide-footed folks, or just come out with a true wide version. The straps are so soft, but the holes felt like they were missing 2-3 sizes. It felt floppy all around.
The color turned out to be wrong for me
It seems fine, but decided to get this in a different color.
Pretty good! They usually feel comfortable, but feel better when I alternate between them and other kinds of shoes. They look ok compared to some sandals and better than others. I’d like to find the same size/width in a certain other color. But all the times I looked, that combination didn’t seem available.
I really wanted these to work for me, but there is a lip on the inside edge that catches the bunion on my foot and it causes tremendous pain when I walk. So, back to Zappos they go, and I will continue my search. I am disabled and live in a small town with no dedicated shoe stores and I'm in a wheelchair most of the time, so it's problematic to find good fitting shoes. I don't know what I would do without Zappos; thank you so much.
Was sent a used pair!
These are the nicest Birkenstocks on the market but unfortunately the straps are just too loose even in the narrow fit. My foot slides all over the place in these even on the tightest setting.
The sandal felt true to size, the width was just right, and the suede was smooth and soft.
