Throne

First time Naot customer here. My typical go-to's have been Dansko, Taos, and SAS. I will say, the sizing on this one felt a bit tricky. Zappos recommend a size 39 based on previous orders, apparently. The toe of Throne is a bit more pointed than shoes I normally wear, so it felt and looked like there was more spare room in the front of the shoe than I normally had. More precisely, there was more room at the pointiest part, but less room on the sides. The 39 was comfortable, if perhaps a bit looser generally. The 38 had noticeably less space in front of the toes, fit more snugly around the foot in general, but was also comfortable. There was the same amount of room at the back of the heel cup in both. My big toe is almost up against the edge of the shoe in the 38 but it wasn't a whole lot different in the 39. It was a question of whether during normal wear, the smaller space in the 38 would end up being too little room, or whether the extra space in the 39 would end up being too much room. I checked pictures on the Naot website and noticed that in a number of the photos, the models' toes are pretty close to the front and side edges. (I did use their paper/pencil fit system which showed me as a 38 for cm measurement; their inch measurement system was not accurate.) I ended up selecting the 38 and definitely made the right choice. The shoe is extremely comfortable with great arch support. What I really appreciate is a sandal that has arch support, but doesn't have a high heel, and which also doesn't have a platform. These things become important as you get older and have hip/knee/ankle issues, want to minimize trips/stumbles, and want at least part of your foot to be in close contact with the ground. I had previously returned (thank you, Zappos!) Dansko "Season" after the velcro stopped holding after only a few wears. The Naot has much more area for the velcro to adhere to. It's a beautiful shoe that looks even better than the Dansko Season, and I am delighted with it. Looking forward to trying more Naot sandals in the future. Hoping the straps and bottoms hold up to respectable wear.

I really appreciate the arch support, shock absorption, and walking comfort of Naot shoes. I have many pairs in different styles and colors. The silver of the Naot Throne is really bright and shiny.

I love Naot shoes for their excellent arch support and comfort. I especially like their styles with this height of wedge heel. I could walk all day in them. With this pair I especially like the ease of fastening the strap with hidden velcro even though these are designed with a metal buckle. I get a more precise fit with velcro rather than buckle strap holes at fixed intervals.

Very disappointing! I never bought Naot shoes before because they're pricey but I thought they'd be worth it if they were comfy. Length was ok but they were really narrow in front and I've never needed a wide shoe, I'm a medium width. I also thought the silver trim on the heel was weird, especially with the gold buckle. They're being returned

These shoes were a perfect fit for my small foot! I am a size 5 in most sandals and the EU 35 was just right. The arch support is very supportive as I tend to pronate. They are very versatile and not too high. I will certainly wear them a lot!

Very comfortable shoe. Looks nice dressed up as well as casual. Great support as well.

Upon the first long walk in heat (90’s) developed small blister from the ankle strap on top of foot. Not uncommon for me. I think overall they will be ok. I hope! I like the style.

These felt amazing as soon as I put them on, Arch support was perfect. A perfect dressy sandal. These would feel too narrow for many but were perfect for me.

I don't usually have wide feet, and have other pairs of Naot sandals that fit like a glove, but these are too narrow.

I have 2 other Naot sandals and they fit me well, but this one is a narrower design. It felt a full size smaller. I ordered size 11, but it completely pinched my toes, and I lelt like the footbed was too small. I don't have wide feet, so this was surprising. I am returning these and will choose a style with a more rounded toe shape.
