It's surprising how hard it is to find a breathable nylon jacket for cool weather walks. I've tried numerous nylon rain jackets, but the lining always seems to trap moisture inside. It's like it's raining on the inside. This jacket has no liner and is actually breathable. I wear either a medium or large, depending on the brand, and the large fits me perfectly. So I would advise to size up.
I read a review that said the sizing was a bit large. So I did not order XXL. No, the sizing is normal. I had forgotten that my prior product from a competitor was discounted because while marked XL, it was really XXL or XXXL. This is lightweight and nylon that I wanted. Hard to find nylon now days. More breathable than other materials. My last try at replacing the one above was heavier and sweaty because it is not breathable. This looks and feels the way I want it to. Happy LL Bean offers next day air as well. Next stop Europe.

Perfect weight and ease: Left a similar one in France so after considering going back to the hotel and pick it up, just ordered this from Bean. SO SO HAPPY with it, the other had lasted 20 years anyway, little wear, just a workhorse and this one in blue/grey is so attractive and comfortable. He loves it.

Good material and design but a little bit pricy. This is the first time I have this type of material on my clothing it feels more premium than the more generic polyester windbreaker material. Definitely water repellent but I would doubt if it's true water resistant like a rain jacket.
I bought this at my nearby LL Bean Outlet. It is a nice color, fits well, and is comfortable. I often wear it on chilly mornings with the lined vest I also got if I'm going out for a drive in my Miata roadster with the top down.
Awesome jacket! Very light and packable. Great windbreaker by itself or over a sweater or pullover for chillier temperatures. I've taken it on every trip since I bought it. Highly recommend this!
I bought lightweight jacket with great expectations. I loved the way it looks in the adobe red and the design of the pockets. Also liked the stowaway hood. The problem with this jacket was the ridiculously small sizing, however. I normally wear an XL jacket, but after reading reviews that it ran small, I ordered a size up. The XXL jacket I received was tighter than I like and the sleeves were a skosh too short for me. Decided not to try an XXXL and just returned it. It would probably have been a nice jacket if L.L. Bean could get their sizing straight.
