Really strange - the size (length) and toe box width felt right, but it felt like there was a vice grip in the middle of the shoe, squeezing the top of my foot - really cramped, borderline painful, no way I'd be able to work out in them. This was with the laces loosened.
These are wrestling shoes, so they're supposed to be form-fitting. However, these were excessively tight on my feet and crowded my toes as if they were a full size smaller than marked. I ordered and received a size 11; my feet normally fit a 10.5 for length and toe box, but my arch needs size 11. I don't know if they're supposed to have arch support (and I wasn't expecting much), but the arch support felt nonexistent; my arches are low and flexible. Normally Asics fit my feet pretty well, so I'm really confused as to why these fit so poorly. I really like the tread design and I was hoping they'd fit.
Normally wear 10 W in sneakers and tennis shoes (New Balance) so an Asics 10W is a perfect match too. These are good looking and well fitting for a wrestler with a wider toe box. So glad that they make wrestling shoes in Wide. It's a true need.
My 12yo son has very wide feet, and finding shoes that fit him is difficult. I was excited to find a wide wrestling shoes, and bought a size and a half bigger to be sure they’d fit. These shoes would have fit him in length and width, BUT he couldn’t even get his foot all the way in due to how “short” (vertical height) the shoe is in the area at the end of the laces and above where the ball of the foot should be. Might work for someone with a pancake foot, but not for normal people.
Disappointed by zappos not the shoes. I ordered wides (in my order from zappos) and was sent mediums. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning and paying for a box to return when this was clearly zappos fault.
