These were a huge disappointment after my original hoka one one sandals. Not cushy - they don’t compare!! Was hoping they would work as the other style that is UNISEX is awful for a woman’s foot.

I bought these as an alternative to indoor slippers. I have plantar fasciitis and walking barefoot on tile and hardwood floors exacerbate it, if not caused it in the first place. I heard a lot of good reviews about Hoka shoes in general for those with plantar fasciitis and tried out a couple of pairs (the Stinson and the Bondi 9) and they were so helpful, I decided to try the athletic slide for home. They are perfect for me-- I love to be barefoot and with these, I can kick them off while I am lounging and easily slip back into them when I get up, plus they are great for taking my dog out for a quick potty break. They have really helped me be more vigilant about not going barefoot and I can feel the difference after wearing them for just over a month now. The screaming red-hot pain I usually felt with my first step out of bed in the morning has subsided to a moderate roar. I am a size eight more often than not, medium width, and the size 8M fits very nicely with no slipping around. I may get a second pair that I reserve entirely for indoors as these I have started wearing out for quick trips to the store or other short errands.

This is my 5th pair of Hokas purchased in the last 18 months. I broke my foot 2 years ago and my doctor recommended Hokas after the healing process. Highly recommend!
