Figuring out sizing was tricky for this shoe. I am regularly a US women's 8 but have always purchased UK 5 for my dr. martens boots. These 1461 Bex fit more true to size than expected and I had to go for a US women's 8 (my toes were hitting the front when I tried walking in the size 7). I would recommended ordering at least 2 sizes to try out. The leather is extremely stiff and takes time to break in. I've been layering 2-3 pairs of socks and they are slowly becoming more comfortable with each wear.

The material, as expected is stiff leather. Dr. Martens take a while to break in, so the comfort is not there initially.

Delivery gets a 5 star, I live in a US territory and normally shipping takes at least 2 weeks but it came in a week! So fast! The shoes however are just as any doc marten, they are extremely stiff and a tad uncomfortable at first.. These pairs in specific def run a bit big. I usually wear a size 7-71/2, I ended up getting a 6 after reading reviews and they just a tad bit too perfect but I know forsure if I went for a 7 it would have been too big unless I were to use an insole. I did the good ole blowdryer and thick socks trick and they feel a lot more loosened now. I'm sure with more wear it will become more comfortable as well. Overall, they are so cute and I love them! Even if I suffer a bit wearing them :,)

Fit is fine. However, these shoes squeak unmercifully and on all kinds of surfaces. It became unbearable, I had to return them.

The shoe was a little larger than I expected, and also a bit less flexible than I anticipated. I've just been wearing them with thicker socks and it is okay, but when I wear thin socks they are a bit looser than I anticipated and the material doesn't really bend with you. Also, the soles are very squeaky when you walk on linoleum. But I still love the style and they were aesthetically just what I was looking for, so I will keep them.

I ordered these shoes for my grandson when I arrived at his house and we looked at the shoes. I realized they had been worn already and they were not shiny. They were smooth and shiny in the picture. They are dull and used already so I am returning them. Very disappointed.

These are super comfortable right out of the box. However, the felt a bit masculine on me. Not like a cool pair of Docs, but like I was wearing mens dress shoes. I don't know if that makes sense. They just weren't giving me that classic Docs feel. The toe area was much less rounded and more flat that typical Docs like the 1461 smooth.
