I really wanted to try a pair of traditional Docs. I got a 8 size as recommended by some reviews (I wear a 7) and they are way too big. Also, really heavy. I don't think the high calf is going to work for me either. Not used to the rubbing on the back of my calf. Not the shoes fault at all, just food for thought.
im a 10.5 so i got a 10 but it fit too small overall i like the boots i intend to return the pair i have and buy a bigger size
You sent the wrong item and now I've waited two weeks and still don't have refund
They're probably awesome once broken in but they just hurt like hell every time I wear them. I just don't think they are worth it (even if it stopped hurting one day). They're bulky, gaudy, heavy. My first Dr.M. I had to try to see what the hype was all about. I guess they are not my style, ymmv.

Fits nicely. Standard Docs, but with a fluffy insole that makes them super comfy.

The soul on the BEX is much thicker than on the Smooth model.
