8065 Smooth Leather Mary Jane Shoes

I normally wear US size 7.5 or 8 but got the US size 7 / UK 5 in this shoe, based on other reviews. This worked out perfectly for me, although I prefer shoes to feel a little tighter rather than be too loose. I agree with other reviewers that these are very stiff and uncomfortable out of the box - even the straps are stiff and hard to put in the buckles. If you don't have the patience to break in shoes, then these aren't for you. But I've been wearing them off and on for about a week and they are almost perfect - everything is softening up. I'm really impressed with the quality. I love the look, and I think I'll have these for a long time!

I love Dr. Marten’s. I wear AFOs and it’s hard to find good shoes that the AFOs fit in, provide support and look nice. I also have a somewhat awkward gait and wear out shoe soles very quickly, but not with my docs. I have one pair going on 10 years and haven’t had to have them re-soled. The quality of the product makes them worth every cent I pay for them. I was so impressed with these that I also got a similar pair in black. I put everything as true to size as they are the size I expect for this brand. In general the shoes run a little big and wide which is why I love them for AFOs. They also have removable insoles in case I need more room for the AFO. I’m still working on breaking them in and am hopeful that the buckles become easier with time. The pictures on the website are an accurate representation of what you get. If you’re contemplating you first pair, bite the bullet and get them. They’re worth it.

These shoes are very cute with jeans! I agree with a previous reviewer who stated that they look less clunky at home than they do in the pictures. I have re-ordered the shoes one size down ( a half size down was not available) as the fit feels very big to me. The material is a little stiff at first and the shoes were a little hard to get on my feet. There is a trick to working the buckle for adjusting the shoe fit - pull the metal buckle away from the leather strip. I before trying to adjust.

I love Dr Martens. They aren’t the most comfortable shoe, but they are so darn durable. I have had these since 2020, and no I never was really able to break them in, lol. I still have to wear them with socks since the leather is SO stiff. It did soften a TINY bit, I remember when I first bought them it was almost unbearable. I remember getting blisters when I would try to not wear socks. But I have worn these in the snow, destroyed them in dust, dirt, rain, they do so well. I am not afraid to wear these and “ruin” them. That is why they are my favorite office shoe to wear, especially in the winter when there is lots of snow (and I can wear them with socks). If you are looking for a shoe to beat up but still look stylish/cute, these are it!

I had this shoe back in the day and after a visit to London, and seeing all these cute girls wearing Docs, I decided to order a pair I used to know and love. I am a reasonably fit person with strong hands - and I have to tell you that unbuckling these shoes took me, my partner and a small screwdriver to use as a lever. One they were undone, it was so impossible to buckle them back up, that it just never happened. As I prepared them to go back in their box for a return to Zappos, I couldn't even buckle them them, sitting on my own lap. They are super cute and I had high hopes but these are hopeless - and so stiff that I don't think they would/could soften up over time to eventually become the comfy kind of shoe that you can slip on and off - so sad but super true.

DO NOT go by the sizing that they recommend. I wear a size 7 in EVERY shoe that I own. When my size 7s came they were more like size 9. I was going to downsize 2 sizes because they were so large, but my daughter talked me into just downsizing one size, so I ordered a size 6. They fit!!! You need to order a full size smaller than what you would naturally wear.

True to size-great quality. They feel really comfortable and elevate simple outfits! Will be buying the brown color. highly reccomend!

Like others mentioned, these just rubbed against my heel and were impossible to walk in without pain.
