I have had Lodge/Chalet in 11.5M, 11.5W (not available any longer) and 12M. Except for the 11.5W, all are a bit tight on my Right foot, uncomfortable on my small toe when I'm driving, which changes my foot position in the boot. I loved the appearance of the boots, and kept seeking a solution. Tried the Forge model: first pair of Forge in 12M seem a bit wider from big toe joint to my small toe, and are more comfortable than all but the Lodge 11.5W. ALSO: the insoles of the Lodge/Chalet are glued in and not removeable. The Forge have a removeable insole. The first Forge pair I got had one of the best insoles ever, with a great heel cup. A second pair had a more usual Florsheim insole. Not bad, but not as good. The foot opening is very small, so a shoehorn is really essential to get into Forge, and helpful prying my size 12 feet out of them. I never use the pull tabs on Florsheims. I keep shoehorns in various locations. In my experience recently trying the various sizes for my 11.5 - 12 feet, I find the Florsheim sizing VERY consistent. I was lucky to discover that the Forge are faintly wider than the Lodge.
