Boot feels substantial. Requires a break in of about 2 weeks of daily wear then feels much better. I have a pair of Mountain Light 600s that I think I prefer better. There was no break in and they are more comfortable but the Panorama is still a good solid hiking boot.

After 10+ years wearing keens my husband tried these boots and also the panorama low. Hes a tough one too, make a change, but he loves the panorama mid and low
