They were comfortable from the first time I put them on. They kept my feet warm during the last week of very cold weather in NYC. I had to take them off at work because my feet felt hot with them on in the office. I love these boots. They are worth every penny I paid for them. Great boots.
Blundstone boots are THE best. My GOAT of boots. The Thermal style is wider than other ones and a tad looser, but comfortable right out of the box. Many Blundstones need a break-in period and are difficult to get on/off, but these aren't as difficult as some other styles. Worth the price!
Was listed as waterproof and leaked at the first sign of mist. Wet feet my whole trip.
Didn’t need a breaking in period: went from box to 12-hour shift. No blister and my feet felt great. Warm but not hot. Dry in the rain.
Per Blundstone's own description, these are tight across the instep and definitely need breaking in. I returned because there is a seam across the front, kind of like a side V, that the stitching rubbed in combination with the tight instep, and I could not need that improving in comfort. This was a problem on my right foot, which is the larger of my two feet. I also felt the heel rub a bit on the right, reinforcing the need to break in before wearing for long periods.I decided to try the high top version of this boot, which does not have this seam and found they still need breaking in, but that seam is no longer a problem.
