Solstice Xt 3

The toe box was lopped off toward the outside making my toes hit the inside. This made the shoe feel shorter and narrower. The fit has been changed. I have worn the previous iteration of the Solstice and really liked them. I am disappointed in Xt3.

The original Solstice was soooo comfortable. Now Altra decides to narrow the forefoot and it is very uncomfortable. My feet go numb wearing these shoes. Altra should go back to the original design.

These are great! In my opinion, they fit exactly like the Lone Peaks - true to size. They're basically the same shoe but w/out the intense tread on the bottom. They're super comfy right out of the box. Not super cute but we don't wear these for style, do we?

Not the usual Altra fit. I've had several pairs of Altra shoes, these don't fit me like the other ones. This shoe feels quite narrow. It also feels like there is too much padding in the heel cup, causing an odd gap near the outside of my ankle.

Altra changed the Solstice. The forefoot is way too narrow in this new model. This used to be my favorite shoe, but now my forefoot goes numb after wearing.

These are great gym shoes. They feel very stable when lifting weights. They are not for walking outside or running, but perfect as stability footwear when lifting heavy weights.

These are perfect for my weirdly-shaped feet. I add a Spenco insole and wear them for pickleball. I like that they are lightweight and that I can pull the laces tight without squeezing my forefoot. I am able to move faster with tight-fitting shoes, but with most other shoes, it is hard to get them tight enough without hurting.

I bought one pair for myself and one for my daughter as gym shoes. We use it when lifting weights and they have a great support and stability. I highly recommend this style for weight lifting.

I found Altra shoes over a decade ago when searching for running shoes with a wide toe box, and have bought nothing but Altras since. Until now. The Solstice XT2 in light blue was my most favorite pair of shoes ever- EVER!! Then they came out with this model, in ugly colors, and the toe box is narrow as heck. I tried another model of this year’s shoes (though I forget which) and it was also painfully tight in the forefoot area. Returned those just like these. The fit change seems to have crossed multiple models of Altra shoes, and because of that, I am done with them as a brand. Also the new colors are ugly. I’m going back to Hokas.

Wonderful shoes for my aerobic workouts! Love the wide toe box. They are a great balance - Sole is supportive without being too soft or too hard. And, the weight of the shoe is great, too! They are amazing!
