I wanted a barefoot-ish shoe, heard great things about Xero, love these shoes. I had to go with the Prio Neo because the original Prios just burned up my feet. The Prio Neos had much better ventilation in my opinion. Overall, love the feel of the shoe for my wide-ish feet.
These shoes are part of the "barefoot" movement. They are maybe best described as action slippers. The soles are thin but great at protecting your feet while letting you still feel what you are walking on. The lace system can be tightened to provide quite a bit of lateral support. But they look utilitarian in an odd way, so not exactly a fashion statement.
My husband has very flat feet and although he really liked these shoes, and the fit was fine, he just needed more arch support.
Out of the box the Prio Neo felt fantastic, buying online and not being able to try shoes is always challenging however the Pro Neo fit great and I am looking forward to trying them out in my training. I swing kettlebells and always train barefoot but wanted find a shoe that is as close to that type of grounging as possible. These shoes feel very natural, fit well and give me that stable feeling
