These Birdies Hummingbird Mary Janes are super cute and comfortable. I really like the dark denim, which will work back to virtually any shade of jeans. This purchase represents my first experience with Birdies, but it won't be my last. I really hope this style will be repeated in other colors, especially red.
I love these! My usual size is 9.5, which is what I purchased. They fit perfectly. I took a huge chance on these. I’m 69 years old and have not worn this type of flat shoe for 19 years, when arthritis started in my feet. I have been wearing Birkenstock style sandals ever since. My arthritis is fairly controlled now and I started looking for a closed style shoe. These Birdies received great reviews, so I took the chance. They fit true to size and have a comfortable padded footbed. Even the toe box is wide enough! No crunched toes. I’ll be coming back for more.
Good going-out-to-dinner shoes; the denim is stylish and not too casual, and these are comfortable without being clunky. Moderate arch support, good padding in the sole, and they stay on with the strap.
I just bought a second pair, as a backup. Even though it's cloth, and not leather, it makes a perfect dressy shoe with pants, and is very comfortable for walking. The MaryJane strap is a bonus---this shoe stays on!
