My husband has unusually deep and wide feet to the fact we joke he should throw the shoes away and wear the box they came in. However, this pair in the 10.5 W fit nicely. Some shoes from other brands can be marked EE, or 4E, and still not be wide enough. So, if you're looking for a genuinely wide shoe, this would be a good place to start.
The heal slips out of both the left and right shoe. Nothing can be done about it; not even a heal support works
Shoes felt longer than the indicated size. Wide width was good in the area where the shoe breaks, but the toe box was strangely pointed and felt tight. I was also a little disappointed in the quality of the leather. In the past, Rockports had high quality upper leather, but the upper part of this model was thin and almost felt synthetic.
