These are cute right out of the box. My wide foot had no trouble sliding in, and more importantly, the toe box is wide enough that feet don't feel pinched or squeezed. The heel does slip a little but cotton socks fixed the issue for the most part. I think they're versatile enough to wear with jeans or a dress.
The boots were very nice quality and I hate to return them but they slipped up and down on my heels when I walked. I have another style of shoes from Cobb Hill and they are also very nice quality. I would recommend them, just not for my skinny heels.
I was hoping that the heel of these boots would work better for me than the other reviewers reported, but nope. My heel slipped even though the size 7 was a touch short (I'm in between a 7 and 7.5) and I know that means a blister is bound to happen. And, I didn't care for the texture of the leather - it seemed lower quality than I expected.
Was really looking forward to adding these to my wardrobe this winter. After searching high and low to find something in a 10-10.5 M I thought these were it. Unfortunately my feet are too narrow and it was like wearing rain boots. My feet just slid all over the place. Couldn't get a snug, comfortable fit even after adding two layers of socks. No way to adjust with the buckle. It's just for looks. Had to send back.
The bootie is very attractive. I feel like it was well made. I am returning because the boot has way too much room in the back. If I thought going down 1/2 size would make a difference, I would definitely order another size. Disappointing because it's a nice looking bootie.
