These are the best boots I've ever worn. They provide great ankle support, they are extremely comfortable, there was no noticeable break-in period, and I can testify that they are weatherproof, as advertised. I take them off to go to bed, but reluctantly.
I need high ankle support: these boots are great. Wore them a lot immediately, no problems with break-in, no blisters etc. They fit under pretty skinny jean-ends, don't need boot-cut. Really like the quality of the leather, the sole, the cork footbed. All good.
