Got this for my large Labrador, with quite large and durable nails. After ruining countless of my own nail files, and putting in twice the effort, I got really fed up. I know Safari as a company with great quality products, so I went with this nail file. Overall I really can’t complain, it is a strong and the handle makes it very convenient to use. I was expecting it to be way less thin, so am a bit concerned it would wore out fast, but I guess it is my mistake for thinking I could avoid buying and using nail clippers by sticking to filing only…. :/ Size wise, it is not very big, but will work for large dog’s in my opinion. The shape is a bit rounded which benefits and helps a lot with the angles when needed. Hope this helps :) My best wishes to you and your puppy!!!

Great file! I use it frequently for my dog, whenever there is a sharp nail that needs to be Filing. I think sometimes it’s better than clipping since it’s more safe (not reaching the quick) and at least for my dog- she is feeling more comfortable with it.

This is a great diamond nail file for dogs. I use it on my dog after cutting her nails and it smooths the edges quickly and gently. The file feels sturdy and well made, and the texture is strong enough to work on thicker dog nails without being too harsh. It’s easy to hold and a good size for keeping control while filing. I have Basset Hounds and they have very thick nails. This file really trims away the excess nail quickly. It's great for rounding the edges after a nail cut. I'm very happy with this file and it's long lasting.

if your dog hates getting their nails cut, and you have a bit more time, this nail file does help and do the trick or if you cut their nails and it’s too sharp around the edges, you can file them down with this a good tool to have

I have only used this once on my dog so far, and it does an amazing job. It’s gentle enough where it did not bother my dog at all. It really makes the job easier because of how well it works. The handle is comfortable to hold while filing your pets nails. I will be using again when I groom my dog next time. This is a really nice quality file!

My Golden Retriever hates having his nails trimmed so I bought this file hoping that it could help. But I used so much time to file my dog's nails yet the nails are still sharp. I think I will use it to file my own nails instead. LOL!

Great quality and good instructions with how to use them. Because it's a manual nail file, it takes a bit longer to file my dogs nails, however I feel more comfortable using this than an electric one where I might take too much off! This does a good enough job to take the sharpness off her nails but not enough to really file them down, so still need to cut them with some nail clippers.
