This dress feels wonderful on the body! Although not a "natural" fabric, it is very silky and "cool" to the touch. It is a true maxi coming all the way to the floor (I am 5'4"). As an apple shape, I have found that empire waisted dresses are some of the most flattering and this dress delivered! It is relatively fitted at the top, so if you are large-chested and or broad-backed, you may need to consider sizing up; but there is a decent amount of give or stretch in the fabric. The bottom of the dress flows really nicely with a little bit of "twirl swirl" but it is not overly voluminous. I love the navy/white somewhat geometric pattern, and it hides a lot of flaws that most women prefer to conceal. I am wearing this dress casually, though I could see with the right shoes and accessories, it could be fancied up for an outdoor occasion where you needed long/formal but still wanted to be comfortably cool. I found it to be pricey at original pricing (though very well made).
