Corn holders with large handles with good friction, and sturdy enough to hold the corn and not break under stress, which is what I wanted. The "pairs snap together" by each having two holes the same depth as the metal prongs, but rotated 90 degrees from the plane of the prongs. So turn them base to base point to point, turn one a quarter turn, press together . . . and the prongs slide into the other holder's holes. It's a pretty firm hold. I can safely put them into my no-sharp-things kitchen drawer. The one drawback is that, after dishwasher without heated drying, the holes have bits of water. So I have to shake out the water and then let them dry. But I want to let the metal prongs dry out too, so I just have to set them aside for a day or two and then nest them.

These corn skewers are great! They are very durable. I have had other brands and they break after a couple of uses. These have not had that problem. I would highly recommend!
