Instant FIRMx® Temporary Face Tightener

My MIL has been experiencing wrinkles and sagging skin with age so I gifted her this cream to see if it would help. We could immediately see within a few minutes of how quickly the cream worked. Her skin was immediately smoother and looked a lot more plump. The only caveat is that you need to avoid using water based products on your face so the effect stays. She used a light blush and the effect lasted until she washed her face.

I received the Instant FirmX® Easy Wear Temporary Face Tightener to try and share my honest review. I have dry skin, so I was really curious to see how this product would work for me. I applied it to clean, dry skin and spread a thin layer evenly over my face. It absorbed quickly, and I noticed the tightening effect almost immediately. My skin looked smoother, tighter, and more refreshed, almost like I had a mini lifting treatment. Honestly, this product just is not for me. The application process is tedious (you must let it dry for ten minutes without making any facial expressions), it sometimes dries white, and you cannot put any makeup on top of it. When it works, it WORKS. But I do not think the hassle is worth it.

I used to use their product similar to this but it is the makeup primer and I absolutely love it! Miracle in a bottle! However, I bought this when Sephora was doing their 50% off event and the primer was not on sale, but this one was and I bought 2. I figured it was going to have the same effect, but maybe even stronger and I was right! This product is VERY finicky, but if you are very dedicated to getting it right, you can get it right and when you do it is worth it! This product will smooth out any lines you have, create a matte finish that is to die for and its just a very flawless look. If you use too much, it will pill or get white and flakey but I have some tips for this. First, make sure your skin is exfoliated and moisturized. Your skin should be as moisturized as you can get it, so layer your moisture and then finish with a thick cream. I also found that this product lays on so much better without flaking if I also use the Laneige Glowy makeup Serum (photo) Plus, this product allows me to finally use my favorite shimmer creams underneath. Using the shimmer is the perfect compliment for the heavy matte and doing it this way keeps it from tugging on my face in a weird way. It really makes it look so much better when you use it this way. The Laneige goes on after the last layer of moisture, then I use one shimmer layer and then I do one more shimmer layer. Then, I put the PTR ontop of that. I tried mixing it with foundation and it did not work so well. You have to figure out how much to put on. I would say two pea sized amounts. If there is any flaking, it's ok, just put setting spray over it and that will fix it right up! This finish looks so beautiful and if you add shimmer underneath like I said, you will thank me! The pink glow prime is from 5Below. I feel like this has answered so many prayers for me. I understand why people are having a tough time figuring out how to use it but, treat it as sacred with mad respect and you can get it to work for you.

I bought this on impulse, huge mistake. This product is not made for black skin, leaves a white mask.

I am a 62 year old woman, so I have some slack facial skin. I had high hopes for this, even after reading reviews. It gets 2 stars because it works. However, the white residue is real. I tried multiple application methods including adding it to face serums and moisturizers to avoid the residue. The problem is that if you apply it thinly, it doesn't work well. If you apply enough to really work, you get the white residue. If you dab the residue off, the effect goes away. I found a way for this to work under my eyes, and it does get rid of bags and dark circles. I wear glasses, so some mild residual whiteness is concealed by the lenses. Unless you have EXTREMELY fair skin, I do not recommend this product. Another disappointment was that I discovered this company is not cruelty-free, and does/may conduct animal testing. That makes this a hard pass for me.

Follow the instructions carefully and it is an amazing product. It’s a temporary fix to make yourself look younger. It smooths out wrinkles and pores. My family uses it for special occasions so that they look better in photos.

Made may face bright red! Do not recommend and had to return
