Ultra Repair Face Lotion Daily Hydration with Colloidal Oatmeal

FAB has been my skin care routine for years, but unfortunately, they decided to rebrand to appeal to the younger TikTok generation while discontinuing products and changing formulas to products that that their longtime customers loved. All while raising the prices. They discontinued my favorite oil free moisturizer so I started using this one, which I also liked, but then I noticed that they changed the formula. I don’t understand these unnecessary changes. There’s no reason to fix what isn’t broken, so just make sure you check the ingredients before purchasing, because they are supposed to be for sensitive skin and the rebrand just seems like that’s not a priority for them anymore.

The reformulation is such a down grade. Preservatives moved way up the list. No more soothing ingredients. Used the old formula for 5 years and now this caused me contact dermatitis :(

Why am I breaking out if the formula is the same? This was my staple for 3+ years, sadly I won’t be repurchasing :(

New packaging completely new product that made me break out with acne rashes. This product used to be the only thing that worked for my skin and yall ruined the product.

Unfortunately this is a textbook example of shrinkflation and lowering product quality. The original formula used to be about $42 (CAD) for 100 ml. It was my GOAT daily face moisturizer, ultra hydrating without irritating my sensitive skin. When I purchased this new container, I didn't realize at first that the rebrand cut the product in half for the same price ($43 for 50 ml). The new formula is thinner, not nearly as hydrating, and while tolerable to my skin, I have noticed some small pimples in what I believe is reaction to the cream. I'm very disappointed as I would have stuck with this FAB lotion forever if they hadn't messed with it, but I will now be looking for another product at a fairer price. I will also note that I purchased this during the Sephora sale. Products at Sephora were more expensive than at the source websites, I was not allowed to use my points towards my purchase, and I was not allowed the usual free samples, only to get a few bucks off overpriced products. Really disappointed in Sephora, they completely lost the old spirit of their sales.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This is a nice face cream from FAB! I really like the texture and viscosity of this. It’s easy to control and apply and doesn’t leave a sticky or tacky residue on your face. I think colloidal oatmeal is having an ingredient moment right now and FAB is right on trend. This lotion sinks nicely into my dry skin and doesn’t irritate it. It also plays nicely under sunscreen and makeup. It’s a great day time moisturizer for me, but not quite heavy enough for my taste at night. There’s no fragrance that I can tell, another bonus! I like the pump dispenser too. Overall, I am enjoying this and would repurchase.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] The absolute best! After 2 weeks of dealing with adult acne , I started applying cream every night. Within in a week you could see change. After 3 weeks, my have was back to normal and even better. Stay consistent.

Tried a lot of face lotion brand but i always have to come back to this brand. Very recommend to whoever has dry skin as me, my skin is extremely dry and flaky, but this product has met my needs so well. It helps restore my dry skin, prevents flaking, doesn’t feel heavy on my face, and absorbs very quickly.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Well, I wanted to love this, but it hurt my skin. I used it three times, to make sure it wasnt just me needing to get used to it. All three times it kinda burned and my skin turned a little red. I am fair skinned, not moisturizer doesn't usually do this to me.

I tried to make the moisturizer work but it was drying me out and making my skin super sensitive despite being formulated for skin on the more sensitive side. I have never had an issue with acne but it caused breakouts.
