Air 1600W Professional Hair Dryer

Dryer was great while it lasted. Only about a year old and was drying my hair and the dryer shocked me and started on fire, giving me a large burn on my arm. The cord where it attaches to the dryer completely melted. Will never buy another ghd product.

It was good when it worked. It only last 13 months before it died.

Buyer beware!! This is wonderful hair dryer….for its very short life. I have had mine for about 5 years now and it suddenly started smelling like burning/melting metal and plastic. I immediately unplugged it and it made my house smell like burning metal and plastic for hours. I’ve had much cheaper hair dryers for much longer than this and they never stopped working or became a fire hazard. I had purchased this one as a high-end upgrade. And just in case you were wondering about ghd customer service…best they can do after your warranty expires is give you a 10% discount towards a new product. All of that being said, it’s a shame because I really loved this hair dryer and the diffuser attachment (additional purchase) for my curly hair. :(

This hairdryer is EVERYTHING!! if you do actual blowouts, and don't rely on flat iron/curling iron for smooth finish, this hairdryer is what you need! T3 damaged my hair and sounded like it was about to explode after about 6 months, Dyson blows my hair around to much, making it difficult to style properly, Drybar is pretty good but the higher setting is a little to strong and hot. GHD will give an amazing, smooth blowout WITHOUT DAMAGE!! Really great machine! I have tried most of them and I am so relieved I finally found GHD!

Looking back at my Sephora purchases today, I realized I bought this dryer FOUR years ago and it’s still going strong! It’s been dropped, traveled with, used 2-3x weekly on the highest heat and speed settings with no issue. It’s smooths my super long hair into a manageable sleek style in about 15-20 min. Love it!

I really like this hairdryer, but I'm still wondering if I should have sucked up my pride and spent the money on the dyson styler. I have very long - below my shoulder blades - very thick naturally straight hair that doesn't really ever misbehave except for the fact that it can't hold a curl. This dryer is great - it delivers on everything it promises like speed of drying, smooth styling, and increased volume. BUT the first dryer I bought broke within two and a half weeks - it just would not turn on. I'm really happy I had purchased it from sephora because they exchanged it for a brand new one without any hassles. The second one is still working after about three weeks, so I'm hoping that the first one was just a lemon. Overall, this dryer is good, but is it amazing? and worth almost $300 after tax (this was my first non-walmart hairdryer purchase)? I'm still not sure.

I bought this hairdryer almost 4 years ago to the day. It just started squeaking last week so I’m a little worried the motor is going out. With that said, it has lasted 4 years, with use almost everyday. It dries my hair quickly and with minimal frizz given you’re using heat to dry your hair. The hair dryer does get really hot, so be wary of the attachments. I will be buying again whenever this one goes out.

I was excited to try this out and needed an extra blow dryer for my guest bathroom but this was too hot the first try. The second time I used it the heat went out. I thought it may be a defective unit, but after reading other reviews I see similar complaints. This blow dryer definitely is not as good as T3. Luckily my T3 still works after so many years. I’m very disappointed that it did not live up to its claim.

Purchased Sept 2018 and have been happy with it. Plugged in two days ago and suddenly, nothing. One year and three months is it for this pricey item? Won’t buy again.

It’s a wonderful fast-drying hairdryer while it still works. I purchased this in 2017, and after just 2 years, something inside it starts to burn and it smelled like plastic whenever I turned it on. After a month of trying to revive it, the sound and plastic smell went away. Maybe whatever was obstructing it has completely burned away, and into the air. It was good for another 5 years, but last week, there’s a problem with it again. It sounded like what other reviewers said that there’s a loud screeching sound that sounded like it was from a horror movie. It was horribly freaky that you would think the hair dryer is going to explode any minute like, with all the metal inside would burst and disintegrate into small bits because the motor is that powerful. I even went to the lock and key store to open it up to salvage it but the sound was very telling that it was incredibly dangerous to turn it on again.
