Surf Foam Wash Texturizing Shampoo

This has been my holy grail shampoo for about 3 years now — I have super thin / fine / flat hair, and I’m always looking for products that add body / texture to help out. This really sets my hair up for success when blow drying and styling after a shower. I rotate this with Bumble’s bond building shampoo (love it too!), and I can tell a very noticeable difference in the texture/body that the Surf provides. My hair stylist has commented a few times on how healthy my hair has become over recent years, and I’ve gotta give thanks to Bumble and Bumble for that!

I LUV this shampoo!! I have thick, dry, coarse AND color treated hair. This leaves my hair soft, silky, hydrated, and untangled after I rinse. B/C my hair is so thick and heavy, I’ve never had lifted roots! Even w/the best root lift styling products, and best root lifting blow dry techniques, my lift doesn’t last … it’s a constant challenge ... UNTIL I stumbled onto THIS Surf Foam Shampoo!! Following my shampoo with JUST my normal masque or conditioner, plus my leave in spray, and NO ADDED root or volume products, THIS SHAMPOO gives my heavy hair LIFTED ROOTS FOR DAYS!! I can’t stop looking at my roots being so lifted, and running my hands thru my silly hair!! Even my hairdresser of 15+ years is stunned at the transformation of my hair!! I cannot rave enough about it … if you’re considering it … get it!!!

I started using this almost a year ago, and it has changed my hair experience. My hair lasts longer between washes, is softer and less prone to static and dryness in winter months and overall is healthy. The bottles are small but you use such a small amount that each bottle lasts me approx. 3 months. It makes my thin hair feel thick and gives it some much needed volume! I use with the Surf Creme Conditioner, applying this to the scalp and then the conditioner to the ends, let it sit for a minute or two and then rinse it all at once. Makes all the difference.

Great-smelling shampoo (and conditioner), light and refreshing, perfect for summer. Just be sure to follow the usage directions on the bottle and use the literal “dab” that you’re instructed to use, as this product produces a lot of lather (and I mean a LOT). I used a quarter sized amount the first time I washed my hair with it and it was a dry, tangled mess that I couldn’t run a comb through, not to mention that I spent an additional 15 minutes in the shower trying to rinse all of it out. The second time, I used an amount slightly smaller than a dime and my hair was soft, bouncy and fresh all day!

First purchased this shampoo from my salon, they stoped carrying Bumble & Bumble but THANKFULLY found it on Sephora. Smells great and lathers nice. Gives my hair volume and an airy feeling without drying it out. In the summer after a day at the beach, this shampoo is my go to for any sand in the hair.

I love this shampoo. It smells amazing, gives hair volume. It’s great for if you’ve gone a few days without washing or have product buildup, it’s perfect for cleansing without stripping

I like the smell of the shampoo and I like that you only need a little to wash your hair but I didn’t really notice any beach waves once my hair dried. I’d still use the shampoo though because I like the lather.

How can an expensive bottle of shampoo split open on the side of the bottle when I’ve only used 20%? I don’t have superhuman strength, either. What a mess. An expensive mess.

I have super straight hair, was hoping that this would have SOME beach hair effect like the marketing states, but after a month of use I can say that my hair looks the same as when I used cheaper regular shampoo. I also bought the conditioner, unfortunately nothing changed. Don't waste your money on these hoping to get beach hair from this, as I noticed no change.

My hair is long, wavy, and very thick. This keeps my hair feeling squeaky clean and not too heavy, and lets me go a couple days between washes as well. I notice a distinct difference when I wash my hair with anything else. I like the scent, personally, but it's very saltwater, so it may not be for everyone. I've been using it for months.
