I am 60+!years old and have struggled witj sensitive skin and breakouts my whole life. My dermatologist prescribed an expensive gel which didn’t improve anything and actuate things worse. I tried this facial cleanser and other The Ordinary products and I’ve experienced a vast improvement.
It needs to be applied before putting water on your face so it can work properly. Every other cleanser dries out my skin, this makes my skin happy.
I was searching for a make up remover that wasn't rough on my skin the way most wipes are. This product is light weight, moisturizing and perfect for my skin. I use it to take makeup off after a long day of work. I dont need to do a 2nd wash with my face wash as it works so well!
Used this product twice as a second cleanse and both times it did not make my face happy. The first I got little bumps in my forehead, cheek and chin. The second time my face felt it was burning. After that the product went directly into the trash.
As a cleanser, it is light and effective. As a makeup remover, it is NOT effective. If you are trying to remove makeup like foundation, blush, etc - stay away from this product. Had to wash multiple time. Will not repurchase.
I've bought this so many times. I have acne prone combination skin. this does not break me out. Squalane is one of the few oil products that is meant to be non-acnegenic and also safe for fungal acne! It's so nice to double cleanse and also works especially great to remove makeup. skin feels great after, I often follow it up with a gentle scrub or a benzoyl peroxide face wash.
SUPER LOVE! Gone through maybe 3 of these in the last half year already. Comes out like a cream but u have to rub it and it becomes like an oily consistency perfect as a makeup remover. Does a great job with that especially on my waterproof mascara. I usually double cleanse with the Glucoside one after this cleanser, and my skin gets cleansed out after all that makeup.
I've had this for about a week now and I was hoping it would be a decent makeup remover since I genuinely like other The Ordinary products. But I have to say, this cleanser/makeup remover just doesn't work for me the way I wanted it to. I followed the directions and tried to warm it up with my hands to get that oil consistency they said, but it never really got there, it was just a thick lotion. When applied to the skin, it didn't feel like it was breaking down any makeup and just kinda felt like it sat on top of my skin? I washed it off and patted dry but it felt like there was a film leftover on my skin, and on top of that, it made my cheeks red and warm and I DON'T have sensitive skin at all, so that was a real let down. I've been using it all week and I find I have to go in with a second different cleanser (Beauty of Joseon Green Plum Refreshing Cleanser - seriously recommend this one!) to get a clean feeling and to get that film-y feeling off. I'll use up the bottle to not be wasteful but I will definitely not be repurchasing. I'm glad it works for other people since it's a big product for a fair price, but sadly does not meet my expectations in a cleanser.
This product is really good, one difference I notice it's not soapy. It's very subtle but clears your voice very well.. lastly feeling I can't deny.
Perfect for melting off makeup and sunscreen. I use this as my first step when double cleansing. Gentle and doesn’t break me out (I guess because I wash it off with another cleanser?)
