Got this to use with Accutane. It’s hydrating but not too rich to the touch. My tip is to buy direct, they send the cutest blue boxes that are great for regifting :)
I LOVE this mask, so hydrating yet light on the skin, and have been a long time user of it especially in winter seasons. But I will NOT purchase again until Drunk Elephant corrects its packaging. For the longest time, I thought this product just ran out quickly (I’ve prob purchased 4-5 of these over the last years). Nope, the packaging is actually faulty & the pump stops returning product LONG before the bottle is actually empty. Like many others who have reviewed, I am now using a new Q tip to get my full $54 worth out of the bottle. So incredibly disappointing.
I am OBSESSED with this product. Amazing hydration boost in the winter and I desperately want it as a part of my regular routine, but the pump SUCKS. I literally have to unscrew the top and use a qtip to dig out the product because the pump is that terrible. I thought it ran out but it's just the worst bottle ever!!! PLEASE change the packaging I'm begging y'all to put this in a pot or something because I love it but for this price the pump should actually friggin work!
This is the best moisturizer I’ve ever used but the pump design makes no sense. It only pumps out the first few days and since the stem doesn’t go all the way down I have to open the bottle and use a scooper to get any product.
Runs out so quickly! It’s a pretty good product. And for this much I would expect so much more!
I love this product. I use it a few times a week, especially following use of Babyfacial. After adding to my nighttime routine, I wake up with hydrated smooth supple skin. Only downside is the pump, which is extremely problematic. I’ve starting having issues with it and due to the poor packaging I’m concerned I won’t get full use of the bottle. Hefty price point for a pump bottle with a lot of poor reviews. DE needs to correct this since there’s so many comments about it.
Love it! I can't speak to the pump issues since I haven't seen them yet. I can, however, speak to how well this moisturizes my extremely oily skin without breaking me out or making me greasy. I'm on a slew of prescription topicals--tazarotene, acids, and Winlevi--and this does an amazing job of keeping my barrier intact. It's expensive but worth it.
Had a sample from Sephora which was enough for 3-4 nights, or so I thought. The first night, I applied a pea amount on one cheek (after cleansing, and nothing else on). It sinks in well but before I went to bed, I made a mental note that my skin feels dehydrated and dry to the touch. The next morning, I had to wash with water before I could make minute tears - my skin was that dry. A few nights later, I tried again but this time, I put a double pea size on one cheek. This time, my cheek felt tacky. The next morning, my skin felt unbelievably supple and so hydrated. So the key is to use enough rather than sparingly. With that amount of usage, you could easily finish a package in a month - too pricey. This would be a treat only. Pros: - sinks in well - hydrates well - skin becomes supple - overnight medicine for parched/dehydrated skin - pump packaging keeps efficacy of product Cons: - a bit tacky - liberal use for product to work - pricey (one lippy off) - too much plastic packaging
I like the moisturizer overall but the pump is absolutely horrible that it deserves a one-star rating. The second time ever using this product and I can barely get any product out. Even when you take off the pump, the narrow opening of the container and the thickness of the product doesn't allow any easy access. Poor, poor design for such an expensive product.
Obsessed with this! It makes my skin so soft. Just bought 3 bottles to stock up while it’s on sale. It’s so hydrating. My only complaint is sometimes the pump breaks before the bottle is empty. A hassle but you can take the lid off to use it.
