received a sample of the soft cream. Very Fragrant, though lovely scent, too fragrant for facial moisturizer. felt like it left an oily residue on skin rather than hydrating. I ended up have a minor breakout while sampling product, though I cannot pinpoint if it was from the product.
I'm actually stunned how horrible the ingredients are in this incredibly expensive cream. Third ingredient is hydrogenated vegetable oil! At least in the sample I received yesterday. Not what it says online here. Terrible ingredients, terrible price, who buys this? Other products have mineral oil and petroleum in them. Not at all worth a fraction of the price.
This stuff is garbage! Save your money. It doesn't moisturize well, it leaves a weird film and it clogged my pores (and I don't have acne-prone skin). Save your money.
I’m obsessed with La Mer but just want to confirm this is too rich for oily skin. Broke me out. Glad they came out with the fresh cream for oily skin!
When first trying it, I didn’t have the best impression of it because the cream was cold and hard to scoop. Now coming back to it, it’s more whipped and easier to pick up. Is it worth the price? Not sure I would personally buy it. But I also can’t think of anything cheaper as a dupe so maybe for that reason it is worth a heartier price tag. The cream feels luxurious and leaves a nice shine, gleam to the skin/gleam to the skin but idk
The product’s scent is so strong, making it uncomfortable to use, and even cause me dizziness. Given its higher price point, I expected it to offer better hydration than other moisturizers, but it didn’t meet my expectations. My skin still felt dry after use, and the overall moisturizing effect was disappointing. Not worth the price at all.
This is my first time using this product and it has benefited my skin. Whenever I use this product, it makes my skin feel soft and light. It also reduces wrinkles, covers up pores, and hides dark eye bags.
I decides to buy the soft cream after reading the reformulation had better ingredients and was worth it. Im so happy i did because i finally found a moisturizer that truly works for my skin. My skin is loving La Mer products and i can start to see how great my skin looks. I use the soft cream during the day and the cream de la mer at night. I also add 2 drops of the renewal oil and its the best!
Honestly, no where near as good as the original. I’ve been using the original cream for many years and love it. I ordered this by accident and couldn’t return it as I didn’t realize my mistake until I opened it. I decided to go ahead and try it and it’s extremely disappointing compared to the original.
I used points to get a sample, thankfully, and did not buy this. But holy heck does it ever stink!!! I've seen some reviews from others saying that it's fine if you are scent sensitive, but I'm telling you it's NOT fine, it friggin reeks like rose perfume. I had to wash it off and take an antihistamine!!! It moisturized, it absorbed well, and it's comparable to most moisturizer creams except for the horrendous scent.
