i will say- not great for heavy makeup removal, i usually just do two 2 washes with this if I'm wearing makeup. since it's a gentle and hydrating wash, every so often i use a toner to feel like i'm getting a deeper clean

I next used it on skin without makeup, and had the same burny experience. Surprised since all other The Ordinary products work so well!
