Mini Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm

Absolutely horrible. The old formula was great and was my go to (white container). Now for some reason it’s all oily and literally does not come off your face with water no matter how hard you rub in. Feels like rubbing in olive oil into all your pores. Does not come off unless you literally dig/scratch your nails into your skin (gross and still doesn’t come out) or use a towel to wipe it off which makes it dirty. Don’t even know who even approved this product to be sold on shelves. Do NOT buy this by any means. 0 stars if I could.

Definitely removes my makeup and sunscreen but after using a few nights in a row my skin got angry and irritated. Checked ingredients and it has a lot of unnecessary essential oils despite the growing evidence of how easily skin can get sensitized to these ingredients after repeated exposures.

I’ve tried a lot of oil based cleansers and makeup removers, but a lot of them leave a residue, or require me to still use micellar water to remove the last traces of eye makeup. Some also make my eyes sting. I got this one in fragrance-free and it’s the best I’ve ever used. I should’ve gotten the value size! It is so quick and easy, I was shocked it rinsed away so cleanly and completely, didn’t leave a residue but wasn’t drying, and took off waterproof mascara without stinging my eyes. Pricey, so I save this for days when I’ve done full face makeup, but it’s one of the products I’ll splurge on because it works so well.

Have had the mini just over a year. Very gentle and works well for oily/combo skin. Wish it came with a spatula or something for application. Packing doesn’t really have suggestion for how. much to use

New formula no longer clean my makeup fully and leaves a gross thick oily residue that can’t be washed off unless I wipe my face with a towel and the towel will be all dirty. I am switching to someone else. It’s such a pity

It’s crazy how there are other reviews and pictures like mine showing that this product LITERALLY GROWS MOULD and then there are reviews saying “omg like don’t listen to the haters, this product is the best thing ever!!”. How lucky for the people that haven’t had this issue (and the paid reviews that always give 5 stars to everything) that they can say this is the best product ever and claim the rest of us are “haters”. Like no, I mean for one thing that’s a pretty weird term to use for people reviewing a product that didn’t work for them or that they had issues with, but also, I am just not going to spend my money again on a product that gets moldy within 30 days of opening it. And yes, I am super hygienic with my products, makeup and skincare, and this is the ONLY cleansing balm (or ANY product, actually) I have ever had this happen with in my 40 years of life. And if you look at other reviews with pictures (and those without), you will see I am far from the only person that has had this happen. I know that this is more “natural” than other cleansing balms, but I’d still rather spend my money on products that are less “natural” and that I can actually fully use (especially with Canadian Sephora prices). My Clinique cleansing balm hasn’t ever grown mould, and it’s not only older than this one, but it also works better! This one I felt like I had to work harder at removing my makeup than with other cleansing balms (and I’ve tried a few different brands, from drugstore to high end). Green and natural are great, if that product can still manage to be usable and useful. It shouldn’t be SO natural that it’s becoming mouldy and unusable. Perhaps they need a slight formula change, since this has happened to numerous people. Sucks to have to throw money away, especially in this economy, and I’m disabled/on LTD.

This is the only beauty product I own that I would classify as perfect. I LOVE trying new things, so I'm always searching for a slightly better version of any given product, meaning I rarely keep something in my routine for more than a year or two. This is the my longest running staple, and I've never been tempted to buy another makeup remover since this was first recommended to me 5+ years ago because I truly believe it can't be improved upon. I stopped using makeup wipes because they invariably cause my lashes to fall out, which this does NOT do. It melts makeup off easily, does not dry or irritate sensitive eye skin no matter how much is used, doesn't leave behind any residue, AND - most importantly - is cruelty free + vegan with clean ingredients. PLEASE do not ever reformulate!!!

This is effective, but burns my eyes. Will not repurchase for that reason.

This feels so soothing and gentle against my skin, has a light, clean citrus scent, and cleans my face well.

I like this product, it cleans my face well no irritation at all. Will purchase again
