Applicator: 1 star, would not recommend. I bought the "travel spray" which arrived already leaking powder everywhere. The spray alternates between barely spraying anything and spraying enough for a Christmas snow window display. One good point, I guess, it does look like you can refill it if you wanted to. Formula: 3 stars. I got this because the formula contains persimmon tannin and that tannin is specifically good at neutralizing 2-nonenal, or "old person smell" which I'm a little obsessive about. It's unlikely there would be remotely enough tannin in a powder to do much, but I needed a dry shampoo anyway, so I thought I'd try it. That said, it doesn't perform any better (or worse) than Tap Secret or any of the other powder dry shampoos I've tried. It smells good but strong enough to interfere with a fragrance if I wanted to wear one. Solving the applicator problem: I had a nearly empty Tap Secret container, so I just poured the Crown Affair powder into that which works so much better than the spray bottle. I still wouldn't recommend tapping directly on to the scalp because application is still so uneven. I tap it onto a brush and then brush my hair for best results. I'm happy enough with this solution, but I probably won't re-purchase. It's way to expensive for how it performs.

I don't love this product. It made my hair feel rough and gross and didn't even help with giving me that slight refreshed hair look. The applicator also gets covered int he product. Using the product is a mess. I am going back to my tried-and-true Bastiste,
Loving using this on my extensions. Goes on easy and can’t see. It’s my new fave dry shampoo. Easy to apply.
The full sized dry shampoo and brush combo is my holy grail dry shampoo. I have fine, blonde hair that gets dry on the ends but oily at the scalp. I use the full sized brush combo at home every day (with leave in conditioner and the hair oil on my ends) and it's perfect. LOVE the mini version for travel! The non-aerosol packaging means it doesn't have to go in my liquids bag and I don't have to live without my dry shampoo on vacation. If you don't press too hard the product comes out slower but it's easy to move around. Love it!
I was so excited about this as a lover of the original dry shampoo but the application is unfortunately super messy and not user friendly! Way too much product comes out and in one spot- the brush in the original is what makes it super easy to disperse. Especially on dark hair this is a toughie!
My favorite dry shampoo hands down! I have been using it for over a year now and recommend it.
Meh. I wish the formula was not brush on. The brush just makes my hair staticky and doesn't pickup the product well and the brush in turn doesn't age well because you have to really jam it in there. Doesn't blend into dark hair with the brush, I have to use my hands.
Must overlook the abhorrent application mess for absolutely stellar product. For the love of god please redo the packaging insanity and give us a pump.
I bought this because of how in-love I was with their leave in conditioner, but this just isn't as good.It smells heavenly, the powder is ok. The brush sucks, the bristles keep coming out and it makes my hair all staticky. My hair is quite thick so that could be why. My hair is black and the powder dosent leave a white cast.
Easy to apply to the roots without waving white residue. Immediate effects to remove oily roots. O weird or strong smell. Only complaint is sometimes too much comes out when you tap the container.
