I purchased a Clarins serum at Sephora while it was on sale, only to find out after checking the batch code that it was manufactured in 2020. Selling a skincare serum that is six years old and three years past its unopened expiration date is completely unacceptable and a major quality control failure. Active ingredients in skincare degrade over time, making expired serums ineffective and potentially harmful to the skin.Extremely disappointed with Sephora's inventory clearance practices. Please check your batch codes carefully when buying on sale here. I expect Sephora to resolve this immediately.
