I have type 3c - 4a ish hair and have struggled to find a product that leaves me with soft AND defined curls, this mousse does exactly that. it offers definition, volume, softness, and smells great.
The best mousse in the market, not drying but the pink one from the same brand not as good as the yellow one am not paid to give it a 5 stars but honestly it deserves it
I used this mousse as the second layer in my routine, after the Pattern gel crème. It worked the first day but then my 2nd day hair was quite frizzy even after using a sleeping bonnet. I had to dampen my hair and reapply some of the mousse. But even then the frizz came back in a few hours. I’m traveling and where I am doesn’t have much humidity. Once I’m back in Florida neither of these products will work due to the staggering humidity. I’m going to return them. The Palo Santo scent is pretty much undetectable, sadly. My 3a/3b curls need more control and hold.
Fragrance is a bit weird and takes getting used to. I do like that it gives good volume and is light in the hair. I have very thin hair so this is important. Mostly 2A/2B, type of hair. I was using kinky-curly custard, which works really well for my waves/curls, but weighs down on the top especially. But I cannot use Pattern Curl Mousse by itself because my hair is frizzzzzy. Even before it's dry, I see the frizz starting to come out. Combining this with the kinky-curly custard has help a lot, so now I get volume and frizz control.
i love this product. my 2C-3B curls love this product. it has solid hold (can last 3-5 days without washing), it isn't too heavy, and it isn't too expensive for the amount of product. the only thing is i like the other scent better (the pink one, whatever it is called). i find this one smells a little strange and not quite as good :)
Such a hydrating and defining mousse! Gives me a good hold for 2ish days, so not something for a long term wash n go but my curls look juicy and hydrated
I’ve been using Trace Ellis Paulo Santo Curl Cream and it leaves a nice cast over my curls that helps hold them in place all day. The smell is fairly strong but not bad. Overall it works well, though the scent might be a bit much for some.
I absolutely love the PATTERN Curl Mousse! It gives my curls beautiful definition and keeps them looking fresh all day without feeling crunchy or stiff. The hold is just right, strong enough to maintain shape, but still soft and touchable. It doesn’t weigh my hair down at all (which is huge for me), and the scent is light and clean without being overpowering. My curls look bouncy, hydrated, and full of life every time I use it. Definitely a staple in my routine! 💛
I finished a mini size of this in 3 months. It doesn't give basically any volume to my 2a-3c hair. It also doesn't help with frizz at all. It does have a nice texture and an ok smell. It smells like sandalwood and some tree I can't put my finger on.
I love everything about this mousse especially the scent. I have used many things to set the cast on my 3a/b curls but all have left me frizzy until i tried this one. It sets a cast and leaves my curls looking hydrated and healthy!
