Cloud Set Loose Translucent Talc-Free Setting + Blurring Powder

I was surprised having to spend this amount of money on a setting powder, but we actually lie in the lower price point for such products sold at Sephora. Plus, the fill is very generous. However, do not regret the investment: this powder looks amazing on my skin. Helps to minimize the dewyness of my foundation without looking cakey, nor giving a white cast. Almost identical hue compared to my skin tone. My only callout is the practicality of the pack, between the protective lid that is challenging to open and the gymnastics I have to do to get powder on my brush without having half of the product falling on myself.

I have very dry and sensitive, acne-prone skin so I have been very loyal to the same powder for years. I wanted to try something new and needed to make sure it didn't irritate my skin or make me too matte. I like powders that take away the shine and set, but don't remove all the glow. This Kosas powder is exactly that - sets my makeup all day, blurs my skin, but still allows a natural glow to peak through throughout the day, without getting greasy or breaking up. I also haven't gotten any new breakouts from using it, which is a great sign. It's also one of the more cost effective powders at Sephora, which is another plus.

This is the 3rd or 4th talc free setting powder I have tried and this is by far the best one I have tried. I have dry to normal skin and most setting powders leave an ashy feeling and look underneath my eyes. This definitely sets your under eye, brightens, doesn't dry and feels so natural. I was sceptical and ready to return but after a few tries, I know this is my new staple for setting powder. I was always a die hard laura mercier but for a talc free, clean product, this does the trick and more.

I have never heard of the brain before, but I decided to add it into my makeup routine and I’m glad I did. It blends really well with my foundation and feels lightweight without being heavy or cakey. It’s also slightly buildable, which I really like, depending on the look I’m going for. Another thing is there’s no noticeable scent in the packaging is super cute. It is a little big though. 

What in the heck is this sorcery! I bought this to try out to replace my Laura Mercier setting powder and it shook me after the first use! The powder is so fine and smooth and soft and applied so well with both a brush and powder puff. Works great for baking and DOES NOT AT ALL LOOK CAKEY!! I checked back in the mirror after a few hours and it kept my makeup in place and really helps with oil control while still keeping my glow. Dare I say this might replace the Laura Mercier full time. Amazing product discovery. So happy!!

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I will preface this by saying the color I received was way too dark, but I still tested it out for texture and results. I liked the lightness of the powder and feel like if I had the correct color, I would have been able to see the blurring effects even more. The size of the container is also huge with a lot of product.

I love this powder! When it first arrived, I thought the medium was too dark for my skin. I have a hard time knowing whether to get light-medium or medium shades. I have neutral light-medium skin, but medium sometimes works. I tried it and medium worked! I think it is translucent enough to be very versatile. It feels feather-light and soft on my face. It looks great and doesn’t look dry or patchy. The container is large and will last a long time. I would recommend for sure!
