Summer Skin Hydrating Gradual Self-Tanning Body Cream in Vanilla Caviar

I have extremely fair skin and self tanners make me feel more confident. BUT I haaate applying them, feeling sticky, and the way they smell. It’s a sensory nightmare to me. But one thing I already always do is apply body lotion. I’m SO glad I decided to try this. There’s no fake tan smell, I don’t have to put my sweaty hands in gloves or wait forever for it to dry, and the color developed overnight into a beautiful natural glow that wasn’t orange or looked fake on me. And best of all I got immediate satisfaction of feeling hydrated and smelling amazing right after application. 10/10 will be rebuying!!!

I was using the santal scent of this product, and when I ran out, I decided to switch it up a bit with this scent instead. Love it!!! I wasn’t sure that I was going to like vanilla scent because I am so not a fan of sweet smells. I was scared of smelling like a cupcake. But I was pleasantly surprised. The smell is amazing and the color is fantastic as always.

This is the only self-tan I’ve ever loved the smell of. I mix it 50/50 with moisturiser because I’m very pale, and that gives me a really natural-looking result. If I use it without adding regular moisturiser, I have to be more careful to apply it evenly because it’s more obvious on me. It also wears off much more evenly when I use it this way.

Smells amazing while putting it on but after a few hours it just smells like your typical fake tanner which was very disappointing. It came out splotchy on my very pale skin and turned the sun spots on my legs orange.

I love the smell and love the consistency - however I was expecting it to be a gradual daily lotion like Jergens or something and it's not that at all. You need to use a mitt, otherwise there will be streaks everywhere, and you really notice a big difference after only one application. Stupidly I brought this as my lotion for a vacation, and now my legs are steak, patchy orange and also dry because I can't apply this lotion any more. I'll try using it as a legitimate weekly self tanner , but it didn't fit my needs to replace a Jergens gradual daily lotion type item.

I was really curious to try this product because I’ve been looking for something that gives a natural, gradual glow without looking too heavy or orange. I love the idea of building color over a few applications instead of getting an instant, harsh tan. I used it consistently for a few days, and I really liked how easy it was to apply. The texture feels lightweight and blends smoothly into the skin. It didn’t feel sticky, which is very important for me, especially for everyday use. After 2–3 applications, I noticed a soft, natural-looking glow that made my skin look more even and healthy. It’s not too intense, which I actually prefer because it looks more effortless and real. I’ve been using it as part of my daily routine, applying it after showering, and it fits in perfectly without taking extra time. It feels more like skincare than a typical tanning product.

This product is great. Smells lovely too. It really brings a warm color to my skin which is better than tanning and being in the sun. I enjoy the product and how much product comes in each container. Yay!

So bummed! Was so excited to try this. Based off the reviews I was ready for my life to be changed. Unfortunately this is just like any other self tanner. It smelled amazing for the first 20 minutes and then the scent quickly faded to smell like self tanner. You know the smell. Which I would’ve been okay with if the tan was good, but it was so streaky. I followed all tips and consider myself proficient in self tanning. Also would not consider this gradual as I was very dark after one application. Will be returning.

I’ve got this product in exchange for my honest opinion. I already used it 3 evenings in a row and I have a nice tan! I never liked the instant self tanning products because it is hard for me to get a tan without a strikes. This is one is a game changer! Also, I really loved the subtle smell (no self tanning product scent though) and how it fast absorbs to my skin!

The lux unlimited gradual self tanning cream in vanilla caviar is the best self tanner I’ve had. I put on with mitt and I wake up next day with a wonderful tan that looks like I was out in the sun! But better looking. It has a very slight vanilla scent. Nothing at all smells bad or that fake tan smell. No streaks! I never used a mitt before but I highly recommend it. This lotion and mitt is worth the price. I don’t review very often but I was so impressed with this product. Highly recommend
