Annoyed that the best dry shampoo I’ve ever used is this expensive

This is the only dry shampoo that has EVER worked for me and it smells amazing. I have thick, wavy medium coarse hair and don’t use any products on my hair after washing. I was looking for a dry shampoo to use after the gym so I didn’t have to wash my hair daily ( I usually wash every 2 days). I’ve tried R+Co, Batiste, Not your mother’s, and Dove and all of these left my hair feeling oily and very dirty by the end of the day.. basically forcing me to wash my hair after using them.

I love the texture and application of this, but the smell is a heavy, potent, men’s cologne type of smell. Even just a puff or two of this stuff and I smell so pungent from across the room. I want to like it but won’t buy until they fix the smell.

This is by far the best dry shampoo I’ve ever used. My only complaint is the smellllll. It’s so floral and mature smelling. But my gosh it’s so good otherwise. I have almost black hair and it leaves zero white cast too

After using dry shampoo for years and using both salon and drug store products, I got the sample of Messy's dry shampoo and can now see how it sold out so quick. For an aerosol, not too much is sprayed out and It massaged right into my scalp and my looked perfect and still shiny. This is by far the best dry shampoo I have ever used (including Oribe & Drybar). Wish the price tag wasn't so high, but seeing as you do not need to use too much out of the aerosol can, I can see this product actually lasting.

First time I’ve ever written a review for a product, and that alone should say something. I’ve tried what feels like every dry shampoo out there, and every single one had some issue, white residue, buildup on the scalp, or that weird finish where your hair doesn’t look greasy but still looks dry and lifeless. This product is completely different. It actually makes your hair look like it does right after wash day. It still has shine, but without looking greasy. It doesn’t feel heavy or chalky either. Hands down the best dry shampoo I’ve ever used, and the only one I’ll be using going forward. If you’re like me and your hair gets greasy quickly even after washing, and you’ve already tried a bunch of options, just trust me and get this one

I picked this up through the rewards bazaar. The good news (and the reason it's getting rounded up to three stars) is that it fulfills its basic function: my hair did feel refreshed and softer after using it. Unfortunately, it also feels very heavy on the hair, and has a musky scent I wasn't a fan of. The real dealbreaker, though, is that it goes on white and takes a fair bit of effort to fully absorb into the hair. I genuinely thought for a second I'd sprouted some new gray hairs. Probably won't be purchasing the full-size version.

Horrible scent! Even one spray and even the bathroom smells all day - what is in this stuff to last that long? Can’t imagine what it’s doing to my lungs smelling it all day and night as I sleep. I don’t care what my hair looks like if I and others around me have to endure this smell! This makes 1980’s hair salons sme like a spa! Just yuck!

This performed great but the scent of the aerosol is way too strong especially upon first application. The positive is that it didn’t leave any white residue and absorbed oil well but I couldn’t get over the scent.

First, let’s talk about the scent because I noticed some reviews mentioning it negatively, and honestly… I think it’s divine. It’s called Allure for a reason. It feels elevated, luxurious, and far from your typical powdery dry shampoo smell. It gives that fresh, just-left-the-salon vibe instead of masking hair with something overly artificial. And can we talk about the packaging for a second? The fabulous pink can with the bold red stars is just as dreamy as the product itself—chic, playful, and honestly too cute not to leave sitting out on the counter. The formula itself is beautiful too. It refreshes my hair quickly, absorbs oil without leaving behind that heavy chalky residue, and actually makes my hair feel soft and touchable instead of stiff or gritty. You can tell there was real thought put into the ingredients and the overall experience. My only “complaint” (and it’s truly because I love it so much) is please, please bring out larger aerosol sizes! I’m flying through these cans way too fast because I keep reaching for it. A dry shampoo that performs and smells like a little luxury moment? Yes, please. Definitely a repurchase for me.
