I loved the original matte NARS foundation and was crushed when they discontinued. I tried this new one. Wore it a couple times over a few weeks (too soon to tell) and then I noticed a white substance expanding in it. GROSS. Sephora will not let me return after 30 days now. Please let me exchange it!
Loves the Soft Matte Complete, I'm glad I stocked up before they discontinued. This formula is a flop unfortunately.
After NARS discontinued Soft Matte Complete Foundation in Marquises, I was recommended to purchase Natural Matte Longwear Foundation in the shade Perth. Once my daughters saw me wearing it, they both commented that the color looked greyish on me like a dead person. The shade next to it is Macao, which is too light for me. Because it has passed the 30 day exchange period, I am now stuck with a product that does not match my skin color.
I went to Sephora yesterday to get a shad slightly darker than the one I’ve been wearing all year since I’ve gotten darker over the summer. Noticed the old version was replaced!! So I was able to get a sample of a slightly darker shade. This is terrible it’s watery, I had to apply three layers to cover up what the older formula did and the finish is nothing like the other one!! It’s blotchy too. If someone had found anything comparable to the old formula please share!!!
Can we please have the old formula back. This is a disgrace. I love Nars brand but mine had mild and it wears horrible.
The new formula wears beautifully… or at least it did for a month before it started molding. I thought it was product separation but even after shaking up, there were still white spots in the bottle. I’ve had other brand’s foundations for a year or two and still no mold so this was disappointing.
This foundation developed a white waxy substance in the bottle about 45 days after purchase. It was not product separation because it did not go away even after vigorous shaking. When I reached out to both Sephora and Nars regarding the obvious defect: Nars told me it was nothing they could do about it because it was purchased from Sephora. And Sephora responded it was nothing they could do about it because the purchase was over 30 days old. Terrible customer service. I've never had this issue with Nars foundation in the past but this recent batch appears defective. My makeup artist had the same exact issue and so have others online.
NARS, bring back the old version of this immediately! This new formula is absolutely terrible. Caracas was my go-to staple color match, and the new version is completely wrong. As a loyal fan for over 15 years, I have never had a single complaint about any of your products until now.
My bottle had mold in it upon arrival. Not sure what is going on but can you all please bring back the soft matte version. This new one sucks so bad and why is their mold in the bottle?!?! I am going to a new brand.
This product is horrible! I’ve been wearing NARS Soft Matte for years and I loved it. I found peace knowing that I didn’t need to shop for another foundation until I walked into Sephora looking to replenish, but was told Soft Matte was discontinued. The person helping me was honest and said the Natural Matte wasn’t quite the same. Because I’ve been loyal to NARS, I tried the Natural Matte and I regret it. It’s dry, patchy, doesn’t blend super well and is t the same color as the Soft Matte. I wear Macao and this Macao is lighter. Thankfully, I found more Soft Matte bottles being sold on the NARS website. I ran to buy two while the opportunity was there. I’m highly disappointed in this product.
