[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always wanted to try the La Prairie Skin Caviar Foundation, but in the past, the shade range for deeper skin tones was nonexistent. I was excited to see that La Prairie had expanded its shade offerings to include darker complexions, which prompted me to purchase the foundation online through Bloomingdale’s in the shade Hazel 70. After using it, I can confidently say that this foundation delivers the most beautiful finish I have ever experienced. Over the years (I’m age 63), I have tried luxury complexion products from brands such as Hermès, Victoria Beckham Beauty, La Mer, YSL, and Sisley, to name a few, but none compare to the flawless, skin-like finish of the Skin Caviar Foundation. It flawlessly melts into the skin and looks even better as the day goes on. Although, it has a hefty price tag, it’s worth it for me. I usually have to purchase two shades of foundation to match my neutral skin tone. The shade Hazel 70 is a good match for my complexion. For anyone looking for shade references, I wear the following shades in other foundation lines: Hermès Plein Air: 67N and 73C (mixed) Victoria Beckham Beauty Foundation Drops: 12 Medium Dark and 13 Dark (mixed) La Mer: 450 Sepia YSL: DW2 Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick: 9.5 Warm Almond If you wear similar shades, Hazel 70 may be a great match for you as well. Noteworthy: It mixes well with other foundations. I have mixed in a small pump of the Hermes 67N and it still looks just as beautiful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There doesn’t exist and probably never will exist a foundation as perfect as this. My skin looks flawless. I can control the coverage. It is pricey, but the awesome ingredients make me feel that I can sleep in this makeup and it will be good for my skin. I appreciate and took advantage of the discount on La Prairie that I found only at Bloomingdale’s. I won’t shop anywhere else.
