Mini Volumizing Dry Shampoo

Does not help with oiliness at all! Made my hair look even greasier.

If a volumizing spray and a dry shampoo had a family, this would be their underwhelming middle child. It gives more volume than a regular dry shampoo or using nothing. It works better as a dry shampoo than a regular volumizing spray or using nothing. That actually describes it pretty well. It's better than nothing.

The dry shampoo is surprisingly good! I have fine hair that is so oily, that it just feels hard to stay ahead of it, but this has really helped me out with the longevity of my washes. It doesn’t leave a white cast like a lot of other dry shampoo can. I like to apply it after every shower so I get ahead of the oil production on my scalp, I also like to apply it before bed or before doing heatless curls or just if my hair needs a little extra volume and texture and hold to it. It smells great and is so easy to spray. The smell is not overpowering and it doesn’t give me a migraine. I noticed that the bottle has more product than most dry shampoos do which is a happy bonus! I just make sure to shampoo with a good clarifying wash after use and my hair is left fresh as ever.

This was a product that I tried and had positive results from using. It definitely is not my favorite dry shampoo but it does accomplish its intended purpose. I have been a hairstylist for ten years now and I got a chance to try the Kenra Volume Dry Shampoo on my own hair. Being a blonde it works like a charm for me because it blends in instantly and gives me that boost of volume at the roots that I usually can only get from a blowout or volume spray. It really helps absorb the oil without making my hair feel like straw but I do notice it has a bit of a a sticky grit to it which is great for styling but can feel slightly stiff if I spray too much. Since I have only used it on myself I am honestly not one hundred percent sure how the product would work for a dark haired client or if it would leave any sort of residue or dullness on a brunette. For my hair it is a four star rating because it keeps me looking fresh for an extra two days but I would definitely suggest a patch test if you have darker hair just to be safe. It has that strong scent that I personally don’t love although I could see it being a enjoyed by some people. I definitely plan on keeping this in my product collection for those mornings when I do not have time or energy to wash and blowdry my hair.

I tried this dry shampoo out to see if there was anything better than my go to. This dry shampoo left my hair greaser after use. I DO NOT recommend this product to blondes with thinner hair.

I was super excited to try this product, as a good dry shampoo will always be a staple in my beauty routine - plus I love a product that adds volume. However, as much as I wanted to love this product ( as it's a good price at $20 and I love Kenra as a brand ) it just wasn't for me. I think it could be a good product for other hair types of textures, it just really didn't work out for me ( I have thick, long hair that has a slight wave ). It didn't seem to do much for oil absorption at all and it left an unpleasant, gritty texture that left my hair in a worse position than before as I immediately wanted to wash my hair to correct it. It also made my scalp itchy and uncomfortable, another reason I wanted to wash it out. It did add a bit more volume to my hair, but it still felt heavy and dirty. Unfortunately I just can't recommend this one!

As a long time beauty lover and enthusiast this hair product works pretty good! I have fine hair with little to no volume. This product helped with making my hair full of volume. It did make my hair feel a bit sticky which maybe that was my fault for adding too much. It didn’t leave any white residue on my dark hair which is a HUGE plus! It’s simple to use, all you do is spray the roots of your hair when your hair is oily and it does a good job absorbing oil. I would say it has texturizing spray qualities to it too. So it kind of feels like a two in one product. Overall, I do like this dry shampoo a lot. I will definitely repurchase this dry shampoo for my oily, flat hair. If you have fine or thin hair you should definitely try this product!

My hair is fine, flat at the roots, and oily, so I usually have to wash it every two days. But with my busy lifestyle, that’s not always possible. Dry shampoo saves me all the time because it’s fast, convenient, and effective. It refreshes my hair and gives me a little lift when I’m short on time. I’ve tried so many dry shampoos from different brands, and not many of them work well on my fine hair. It’s honestly hard to impress me, because most products either weigh my hair down or leave too much residue. This one works great. After a couple of days of using dry shampoo, I follow with a clarifying shampoo to remove any build-up, and then I’m ready to keep going.
