Ceramide Jelly Medium-Hold Curl Defining Gel

Wanted to love this but unfortunately it is very flakey and doesn’t have great hold.

There is a lot of potential in this gel, but so far, I can only give this 2-3 stars. Pros: makes my 3B curls so light and not crunchy, smells delicious, and keeps my curls from looking frizzy. Cons: Not a strong hold and can get flaky. If you are someone that touches your hair a lot, this gel is probably not for you. It will flake. A little product goes a long way, but this gel is very small. This is more of a travel size for me, tbh. I am excited to see more products from Bounce Curl because I love their brushes and do enjoy this gel…if they could tweak the formula.

I ordered this when it first came out. The first time I used with a different brand cream. I only use a tiny bit of curl cream having wavy curl but plenty of gel. It came out pretty but didn’t give enough lasting hold. I ordered the entire line next and combined with the cream/gel hybrid, perfect! I’ve tried a zillion products in my first 1.5 years of realizing my texture had changed to wavy curly during menopause. Learning curve at 58! This combo became my favorite! I first use a small amount of the cream that gives great slip to brush style with Bounce Curl’s definition brush. Then I glaze on plenty of the gel and scrunch, plop in Perfect Haircare towel awhile to take a break and then diffuse. I still experiment with other products but this routine took first place. Here’s a couple of pics using both cream and gel from weightless line. Second pic was right after last haircut and I’d taken these products for her to use.

I’ve been using this product, for a couple weeks now. I truly enjoy it. Will definitely keep in my routine.

After using this in my routine for the past month its safe to say.. I LOVE the pineapple scent this product is giving. It took 1 time for me to really get the results I was going for, but WOW. what i did notice is that you must make sure you apply to soaking wet hair (CAN NOT BE DRY) to maximize your hold / get best results. 10/10 no notes bounce curl improved my curls :)

This leaves your hair soft and with a light-medium hold, however it left a horrible white powder in my hair and now it looks like dandruff. I’m so disappointed that this leaves white residue in my hair.

Not for me love all bounce curl products but this gel is not as good as the other one and does not help hold my curls throughout the week

Love this product ! Just got a sample of this and used it on damp hair and it truly shocked me I didn’t use any other products only this one highly recommend!

Unfortunately IT IS really THAT good which means I’ll be shelling out the money again and again. Please never reformulate or discontinue! It’s amazing and smells delicious!

🌸🌸🌸 I’m really loving this curl gel! It gives my curls beautiful definition without making them feel heavy, sticky, or crunchy. My curls look bouncy, soft, and much more defined, and it does a great job keeping frizz under control. I also love that it has a nice medium hold while still leaving my hair touchable and natural-looking. A little goes a long way, too. Definitely a new favorite in my curly hair routine! 💕✨
